3.1 Phillip Lim is a highlight show at every fashion week. First…his stuff is totally cool and wearable….second, he has a street-sense, which includes a great sense of humor and fun. We love him and are always inspired by his vision. Oh yeah…one more thing…he really gets US! And he loves really interesting manicure styles! This season, we created the ‘Sapphire Circle Manicure’ …or as he describes… “Yazuka’s flesh and ink”, using warm opaque Desert Suede and circles at the cuticle in Midnight Sapphire (out in September 2011). Pedis were coated in two coats of Midnight Sapphire, nicknamed “Shogun’s metal” by Lim. Half-pulled back, crimped hair and aquamarine shimmery eye shadow completed the beauty look inspired by sporty, on-the-go women.
